UVA Topcoat 500ml/16oz 485/1.05lbs Transparent Matte

The H6 SI44 UVA Topcoat forms an ultra-hard, glass-like, and hydrophobic protective layer that provides superior resistance against even the most aggressive chemicals—including hydrofluoric acid (HF), hydrochloric acid, citric acid, and red wine—while remaining completely food-safe.

With medium hardness and medium flexibility, it is especially suitable for surfaces that require a small degree of stretch, maintaining excellent adhesion and durability even on slightly flexible substrates.

Market Segments

H6 SI44 UVA is a versatile solution suitable for a wide range of industries, including:

  • Building Protection – Enhances architectural paints, especially suited for walls and ceilings.

  • Caravans & Recreational Vehicles – Provides long-lasting surface protection against UV, dirt, and weathering.

  • Furniture & Interior Design – decorative panels.

  • Industrial Coatings – Enhances the performance and chemical resistance of epoxy, polyester, and polyurethane systems.

Reachable Area

12.5ml/m² (0.04oz/ft²) for one layer (roll, wipe or spray) with a thickness of around 6 microns. 1L covers up to 80m² (32oz - 800ft²).

Coverage may vary depending on coating thickness. Can be sprayed wet on wet to create thicker layers.

Curing:

Ambient Curing:

The ideal temperature range is typically between 20°C / 70°F and 35°C / 95°F.

Humidity:

The relative humidity should be preferably below 70%.

Curing Time:

Complete curing time is approximately 5 days; after this period, the curing can be checked.

Heat Curing:

Cure at 120°C / 250°F  for 1.5 hours.

Verify that the coating is completely cured after heating in the oven.

To check curing, press your finger firmly on the coated surface. No material should stick to your finger.

Curing by Hot Air Blow:

Set the hot air gun temperature to 120°C / 250°F  to 130°C / 265°F and apply for 3 to 4 minutes.

Approximately 80% to 90% curing can occur within 3 to 4 minutes. After this, the surface will be dry. Full curing requires 24 hours.

Stacking should be avoided until full curing is achieved.

Storage and handling

Store in dark and dry conditions at room temperature.
