Forms this incredibly tough, 2-component textured ceramic coating with infused micronized carbon nanoparticles a durable matrix of molecular bonds (transformation into ceramic) with the surface applied.

The coating can be applied directly and without primer to concrete, steel, wood, acrylic, plaster, painted or unpainted surfaces, indoors or outdoors.

Application information

The SI33 coating can be applied directly or indirectly on all surfaces (porous and non-porous) such as concrete, steel, wood, acrylic, gypsum, painted or unpainted surfaces, indoors, or outdoors. The surface underneath will be superbly protected against erosion and corrosion and will stay cleaner longer. Cleaning becomes quicker, easier, and less expensive, as special cleaning agents are unnecessary.

Preparation

Make sure the surface is free from any contamination and dirt. A zinc rich primer can be used in case of problems with the substrate. Warning the surface must be completely dry before application and must stay dry for 6 hours after application after application!

Bedliner (Pick up trucks)

In case that our NANO-CERAMIC® coating needs to adhere on an existing PU coat then scuff first with 100 grit sandpaper.  

In case a new polyethylene composite drop-in Bedliner is used then there is actually no need for scuffing, on used drop in Bedliners we recommend using 220 grit sandpaper main reason is to deeply clean the surface.

Before the coating application clean the surface by using our Sterile Cleaner (degrease) and a soft cloth. Rinse well to ensure no paint, grease or other residue like oil and silicones is left on the surface that might interfere with adhesion / appearance of the air-dry coating. Allow the surface area to dry thoroughly prior to painting. Use air spray equipment. Use multiple light passes to build the SI33 black base film and to avoid sagging. At an ambient temperature range of 25°C to 77°F, 1 hour dry time before applying a second coat. Do not coat if the first coat is still wet to the touch or wrinkling/slumping may occur. We recommend to spray 1-2 layers as undercoat and 3 layers as a Bedliner. Also plastic trims can be coated for this we recommend only 1 layer to come as close as possible to their original appearance. Before loading the Bedliner wait 6 days till its fully cured.

This is a 2-Component Nano Coating System

Mix one bottle of SI33B with one bottle of SI33A

by pouring bottle B into bottle A, or measure exactly by net weight in a ratio of 9:1 and mix very well. Carefully pour the mixed contents into a professional paint sprayer, and spray in thin layers until the surface reaches your desired thickness. Depending on the surface, material and structure, different application techniques can be used, such as a paint sprayer or brush.

Let the surface dry for 24 hours. It is touch-dry in 1 hours, after 4 hours, 85% cured, and the remaining 15% (transformation into ceramics) is fully cured after 7 days. Be aware that the mixed contents cannot be stored longer than 3 hours. The surface can simply be maintained with a high pressure washer at 80 bar using our biologically degradable Reactivating Shampoo.

Tool cleaning

The individual components, as well as the mixing system of the paint sprayer, can be diluted and cleaned using our Steril Cleaner.
