H9 SIO4 Marble No Etching Glossy 50ml/1.7oz

SIO4 H9 coating is a thick, hard, hydrophobic layer that can withstand all kinds of chemicals, including HF (Hydrofluoric Acid), Hydrochloric Acid, Citric Acid, and Red Wine, and is food-safe.

In addition to marble, it also protects granite, wood-varnished, and PVC-laminated countertops and tabletops.

It can also be used to renew weathered marble.

Recommendations

  • A fully cured SIO4 layer can only be removed by machine polishing from the surface, using wool pad and heavy compound.

  • Prior to the application of a SIO4 Ceramic layer it is crucial that the surface is in a new or like-new condition.

  • We recommend to clean the surface prior to the application with our sterile cleaner

INSTRUCTION WORKING STEPS

Curing:

Ambient Curing:

  • The ideal temperature range is typically between 20°C / 70°F and 35°C / 95°F.

Humidity:

  • The relative humidity should be below 70%.

Curing Time:

  • Complete curing time is approximately 5 days; after this period, the curing can be checked.

Heat Curing:

  • Cure at 120°C / 250°F  for 1.5 hours.

  • Verify that the coating is completely cured after heating in the oven.

  • To check curing, press your finger firmly on the coated surface. No material should stick to your finger.

Curing by Hot Air Blow:

  • Set the hot air gun temperature to 120°C / 250°F  to 130°C / 265°F and apply for 3 to 4 minutes.

  • Approximately 80% to 90% curing can occur within 3 to 4 minutes. After this, the surface will be dry. Full curing requires 24 hours.

  • Stacking should be avoided until full curing is achieved.

Store in dark and dry conditions at room temperature.
