Recommendations

• A fully cured SI19 layer can only be removed by machine polishing from the surface, using wool pad and heavy compound.

• Prior to the application of a SI19 Ceramic layer it is crucial that the surface is in a new or like-new condition.

• We recommend to clean the surface prior to the application with our sterile cleaner

Application; 1. Clean the surface 2. Sterilize the surface  3. Apply via the cotton pad an even layer  4. Let it cure.

Spray application

Process: HVLP-compressed air, Spray gun: e.g. SATA minijet HVLP , Working pressure: ca. 2 – 3 bar

Nozzles: 0.8 – 1.3 mm 0.03-0.05”

Curing:

Ambient Curing:

• The ideal temperature range is typically between 20°C / 70°F and 35°C / 95°F.

Humidity:

• The relative humidity should be below 70%.

Curing Time:

• Complete curing time is approximately 5 days; after this period, the curing can be checked.

Heat Curing:

• Cure at 120°C / 250°F  for 1.5 hours.

• Verify that the coating is completely cured after heating in the oven.

• To check curing, press your finger firmly on the coated surface. No material should stick to your finger.

Curing by Hot Air Blow:

• Set the hot air gun temperature to 120°C / 250°F  to 130°C / 265°F and apply for 3 to 4 minutes.

• Approximately 80% to 90% curing can occur within 3 to 4 minutes. After this, the surface will be dry. Full curing requires 24 hours.

• Stacking should be avoided until full curing is achieved.
